The design of the third generation of city buses – MAZ-303 – really seems bold, even innovative. The bus became half a meter longer, the distance between the front and rear axles increased, which made it possible to place more seats in the central part of the bus, on a low floor. But the width has remained the same, which is explained by the current restrictions on public roads. A low-floor bus does not need to grow up either. The front and rear parts are, as before, made of plastic, but the side panels are made of aluminum, which, unlike steel, is not subject to corrosion. Separate boards are used on the sides. This model has full LED optics. The design of the rear-view mirrors has changed, in addition, it is possible to install up to 19 CCTV cameras both outside and in the cabin – the driver will have a place to look. There are rain and light sensors. The on-board computer is already responsible for almost all systems. Up to the point that if it starts raining, the automation will not only turn on the wipers, but also close the hatches. The new bus even implements the address knling system – this is when only the front or only the rear part is lowered, depending on which door the passengers enter. Near the middle door, as well as in the cabin, special buttons have appeared, informing the driver about a passenger with disabilities or about a passenger with a baby stroller. Upon receiving the appropriate signal, the driver either activates the kneeling system or activates the electronic ladder. The fuel tank is made of special plastic by rotational molding. Thanks to this, it is one and a half times cheaper than steel and two to three times lighter. We increased the volume to 260 liters. Another feature of the new bus is one and a half seats. In fact, they are considered single, only much wider. The number of seats is chosen by the customer. Increased space in the storage area – a platform in the central part of the bus. Soft padding you can lean against while driving.
